A little bit about me
Growing up in the tropical islands of Cape Verde, I was surrounded by a vibrant culture and a close-knit community. As a young adult, I made the decision to leave my home and immigrate to the United States of America in pursuit of a higher education in Computer Science. At the age of 19, I enrolled at the University of Wyoming, where I spent the next few years immersing myself in the world of technology and computer science.
In 2015, I graduated from the University of Wyoming with a degree in Computer Science, and since then, I've been working in the tech industry. I'm passionate about using my skills and knowledge to create innovative solutions that make people's lives easier and more efficient. The fast-paced nature of the tech industry keeps me on my toes, and I'm always eager to learn and stay up-to-date with the latest trends and developments.
Currently, I reside in the beautiful state of Wyoming with my wife Lindsey. Looking back on my journey, I'm grateful for the opportunities that America has afforded me. While I miss my home and my family back in Cape Verde, I'm proud of the life that I've built here in the United States, and I'm excited about what the future holds. I'm determined to continue making a positive impact in the tech industry and beyond.

Code
I love coding, whether it's for work or personal projects. I'm always exploring new tech stacks and experimenting with different projects.
Mountains
Hiking, whitewater rafting, snowboarding and camping — anything that involves mountains.
Fitness
Staying active and fit is a top priority. I share my lifts and progress on Instagram.
Travel
I love to travel and experience new things. I hope to travel most of the world one day. Check out my travel globe.
Animals
Four cats at home with my wife, and I used to volunteer walking dogs at a shelter on weekends.
Gaming
Anything from JRPGs to FPSs. I plan to start a YouTube channel where I stream whenever I game.

Ouril Game
Ouril brings Cape Verde's traditional seed-sowing strategy game to every screen. Players can take on an AI opponent at three skill levels on a 3D board, learn through an interactive tutorial, and choose between rule sets from different countries. Matches go online too, with ranked leaderboards and pass-and-play for two players on one device. Native iOS and Android apps sit alongside an installable web app that works offline. Google and Apple sign-in keeps stats, game history and replays in sync across devices. Underneath it all is a single shared rules engine and AI that powers every platform and the multiplayer server, so every version of the game plays by exactly the same rules.
Homelab
A public dashboard for my homelab, a UGREEN NAS that runs my apps, home automation and experiments. It shows live service health with 24-hour uptime history, real CPU, memory, temperature and storage numbers from the NAS, and the containers currently running, plus an interactive diagram of how traffic reaches the box through a Cloudflare tunnel and Zoraxy. Because the page is public, the server only sends an allowlisted view of the lab: internal addresses, ports and image tags never leave the box.
Portfolio Project
As I developed my frontend skills, I heard about a new framework, NextJS. That combined with the need for a portfolio, it created the perfect combination. I improved my knowledge on the framework and finally created a professional portfolio. This will be a project that I will continue to expand upon and update
MealPrepCalculator
A personal full-stack web app for building meal plans and tracking nutrition progress over time. Each user owns an ordered sequence of meal plans; the app calculates TDEE, sets macro targets, composes meals from a reusable food database (separate workout / non-workout days), and tracks weight, calories, macros, and end-of-plan check-ins on a progress dashboard.
Side Hustles App
For a short while I decided to stroke my creative side, I created various T-Shirt styles using Amazon Merch program. In order to make it available I created an application to help me host the designs. It also provided me with opportunity to work with new technology.
InReach App
Frontend development had always been a week spot in my resume. In order to improve my skills I decided to work with the non-profit InReach. I was able to share my experience and knowledge regarding development lifecycle (CI/CD), while honing my frontend developer skills.
Fastlane Fork
During my work at DaVita, I used Fastlane extensively to manage and speed up the CI/CD lifecycle of both iOS and Android applications. During this time I came across a feature that was yet to be implemented by Fastlane. I took it upon myself to provide this addition to the platform.
School Bus Tracker
This project started as my Senior Design project in college. Unfortunately, in college I was not so in-tune with Software Development cycle/best practices. Now 2 years into the IT Corporate world I’m have now a better understanding. Thus this 2nd attempt at this project.
Atari Game Agents
During my senior year of college, I was tasked with a senior design project for my AI class(COSC 4550). In this project we used programmed agents to play multiple Atari games. These agents were powered by Uniformed Search Algorithms (Breadth First Search, Depth First Search and Uniform Cost Search). As baseline we used a random move agent. In the end we compared the performance of each agent in different games.
Care Connect Android
While working at DaVita,Inc I helped support the CI/CD and release management for a tele-health platform. The application allowed patient to connect with their care providers for better outcomes. With this project I also got to contribute to the code.
